  1. Tim I just took a quick peek. It looks really inviting and cool. The background picture is so vivid. I feel like I am at the beach. Love the student page!!!!!!! Very creative. It felt weird at first with the navigation because it was a bit different than the normal type web pages. It took me a bit to figure how to get back "home". I finally figured out that you have a link at the bottom. You can't see it unless you scroll down. I wonder if you can put it up on top.

  2. Looks pretty good Tim. The picture on the home page is nice, vivid like Lisa said, but not distracting. I appreciate the simplicity of your home page, which is what I'm attempting with my site - trying to keep it easy to use. I think having a section for teachers and another for students is a good idea. I also think that having those downloads are great for the teachers. I checked out your Captain's Log link to your forums, is that supposed to just to Nabble.com? I didn't see a place for them to log into there, maybe if that link would go right to the page where they would log in might be helpful. Your pictures do a great thing in drawing the attention in, and if students will be accessing your site they will love it.

The only other thing I can think of is I might not enjoy having to go back to the student home or teacher home to get to another page in that section, but that's a small thing.

I think the site looks good. Nice work.

  3. Hey Tim! wow! i love the ocean background. I guess you and i are on the same page... no content to tell the reader what it's all about. I'm still working on mine. :/
Will you have instructions on how to start a forum? like a video? or slide show?
is there supposed to be a contact page under the teacher section? i clicked on contact info link.. and the page had nothing, just a contact info title. I suppose you will update that :)
I was cracking up with you FAQ page!! really? i'm glad i like Macs!! nice job!

  5. Tim,
Is there a way to move the teacher button and student button up higher on the home page? I can barely see them and may have missed them altogether. To be honest for some reason I feel lost on your page. I think it is the navigation system. I really think you need side navigation or more top navigation. Having the home navigation at the bottom of some of the pages is a bit frustrating because you don't see it until you scroll. I think the navigation on this is different and unique but it throws the novice person off.

  6. Tim,

I guess it will all come together. On the Captain's files it takes you to Nabble. Are students supposed to create a new forum each time? How will others get to the topics. I am sorry I don't know enough about Nabble and how it works. I know you will have video help. Maybe that will say it all. I noticed on some pages you moved the welcome link to the top. I would suggest doing that on all the pages. A few still have them at the bottom.

  7. i love the intro! i do think it attracts people. where are the spice islands?
Is there a way to get back to the home page from the Captain's log without hitting the backspace 2-4 times? It's been suggested on mine that my discussion page open in a new window so that my GLP site is still open along with the wiki/discussion page.
